Via het artikel ‘How Insurance Tech Could Change the Sharing Economy Forever’ op kwam ik op dit in mijn ogen nog interessanter stuk uit. Gaat in op hoe je verzekerd ben wanneer je transacties doet via online platformen. Kleine disclaimer: het stuk is geschreven door de oprichter van een ‘On-demand insurance provider for the on-demand economy.’

Interessante passage:
“While many on-demand companies carry insurance policies that include coverage for their service providers, the Named Insured on those policies is the on-demand company, not their service provider. This means the service provider has no contractual rights to the company’s insurance policies and therefore, is not adequately protecting their assets or liability. Furthermore, as policy owner, it’s the decision of the on-demand company which claims are presented to the insurer.”
