When you book a taxi via Uber, the algorithm handles the matching, price calculation and quality control. The algorithm does not do this on its own, but is programmed with variables entered by the platform company Uber.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The website&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/rentahuman.ai\/\">Rentahuman.ai<\/a>, a platform where you can sign up as a human to receive paid gigs from an AI agent, shows that hiring people via automated software (agents) will become more common in the future. The big question here is: how do you ensure that the people who are hired are paid in accordance with locally applicable tariffs and conditions? How do you prevent your AI agent from exploiting people and breaking legislation, which could potentially be held against you as the agent\u2019s \u2018boss\u2019?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Swedish trade union Unionen was already discussing the incorporation of collective agreement wages into platform algorithms back in 2018. Building on this idea, in the late summer of 2026 I will work with students from Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences on a design for an API, prompt generator or other technical application in which prompts for hiring people are matched against a database containing a region-specific Living Wage.
